Yew and resin

Resin river tables have surged in popularity, but the reality is that the process requires expert craftsmanship. This project was a prime example of why. The client had fallen victim to a subpar job, with a yew wood slab that was far from dry, combined with poorly executed resin pouring. The result was a cracked, stained, and unsafe table.

My task was to salvage this damaged piece. The extent of the resin staining and the careless application were shocking. Through meticulous cleaning, repair, and refinishing, I transformed the table beyond recognition. The final product showcased the true beauty of the yew, highlighting its natural grain with a flawless finish. It was a complete overhaul that restored both the table's integrity and its aesthetic appeal.
