Table Collections & Delivery

Please note that the following terms and conditions apply to the collection, restoration, and delivery of furniture items where off-site workshop work is required.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Client Responsibility:

    • Disassembly: Ideally, to minimise potential damage during transport and handling, we kindly request that clients disassemble their furniture items, particularly tabletops, and have them ready for collection at their front door.

    • Professional Disassembly: If the client is unable to disassemble the furniture, we will undertake this task. However, please note that any damage that may occur during this process will be the client’s responsibility.

    • Accessibility: The client must ensure clear and unobstructed access to the collection and delivery points.
       

  2. Our Commitment:

    • Careful Handling: We will exercise due care and attention when collecting, transporting, and delivering furniture items.

    • I will work diligently to restore your furniture to its best condition. You will be kept up to date with the progress of the work and, where possible, we will discuss any changes that need to be made. Please note that I use a high-quality oil finish, which provides a matt finish. Most tables are finished with a spray lacquer, which can yellow over time. As your table has been fully stripped back to bare wood and retreated, the new colour may not always match the original colour. Where possible, I will offer a colour palette on the wood surface to help you choose the best colour. Should you wish to change the colour of your table completely, I offer a more in-depth colouring service, the cost of which can vary and will be discussed on request.
       

  3. Liability:

    • Disassembly: While we will take all reasonable precautions during disassembly, any damage that may occur as a result of disassembly will be the client’s responsibility.

    • Delivery: We will deliver furniture items to the client’s front door. Any subsequent handling, placement, or assembly of furniture items within the client’s property will be at the client’s own risk.

    • Delays: Assistance is required during the collection of tables. If the client is unable to provide this support, I will arrange additional help where possible; however, this may lead to delays due to scheduling availability.

 

        Veneered Tables:

  • We do not offer refinishing services on veneered tables as standard. Where possible, we will advise clients if we believe a piece is veneered, however, the construction of some tables may not be immediately apparent. Clients should be aware that veneered surfaces are particularly vulnerable during the sanding and stripping process, and there is a significant risk of sanding through the thin veneer layer.

 

  • ​Any work carried out on veneered tables will be done solely at the client’s risk. In the unlikely event that veneer damage occurs during the restoration process, we will offer repair options where feasible. However, any associated costs for these repairs will be the responsibility of the client.​
