This table has been the centrepiece for family gatherings and dinner parties. The clients had their worktops completed a year before and wanted to match the tables to them. Seeing as I only work with Rubio Monocoat, which is an oil-based finish, I explained the issues with matching to their worktops that had been finished with a different oil altogether. I worked with the clients, offering them colour swatches to see which colour would be best for their needs. We settled for Natural, which didn't yellow or orange the oak, something they were worried would happen. The natural finish made the oak look like oak, bringing out the grain like never before. The finished full table refurbishment looked incredible and was better than the clients had ever imagined.
