Standing barrel table

A recent commission saw me create a unique standing wine barrel table as a birthday gift. The client had amassed a substantial collection of wine and champagne corks over the years, many with sentimental value. Their desire was to showcase these treasured items in an outdoor setting.

I utilised a wine barrel as the base, providing a subtle nod to the cork collection and introducing a rustic charm to the piece. The tabletop, crafted from solid oak, features a recessed area designed to accommodate a toughened glass insert. This innovative solution allows the client to admire their cork collection safely while enjoying the table outdoors for many years to come.
