The oak dining table

The client had grown tired of their table, a faithful companion for nearly twenty years. Showing signs of wear and tear, the piece had lost its appeal. During my initial visit, I discussed the client's desires and dislikes to understand their vision. Noticing the black window frames in their home, I suggested a daring approach: staining the table black. The client was enthusiastic about this dramatic transformation.

To visualise the outcome, I initially stained the table legs. It became clear that retaining the natural wood for the tabletop would create a striking contrast. The finished piece was a revelation, rekindling the client’s love for their furniture through this bold makeover.
