The cement board dining table is a unique piece crafted from reclaimed Dutch cement boards. Sourced from a local antique pine dealer, these boards were once employed as moulds for brick-making. The resulting pressure exerted upon the wood over time has imparted an intriguing textured surface to each panel. To complement the industrial character of the boards, I designed a base that blends modern and rustic elements. The accompanying benches, constructed using halved cement boards, mirror the table's distinctive top. A durable oil finish protects the piece while allowing the natural beauty of the materials to shine through.
