A client approached me with a desire to replace their worn-out coffee table with a new piece inspired by Japanese design. They envisioned a low-lying coffee table crafted from solid oak, finished in a deep black hue. This project allowed me to showcase the transformative power of stains and oils on the rich grain of 3-inch thick oak.
